Learn More Â鶹´«Ã½ the AEL Staff
Learn Â鶹´«Ã½ Current Opportunities for Students
Â鶹´«Ã½ AEL is the only Department of Elementary and Secondary Education approved program in Â鶹´«Ã½ County and offers the following services at no charge:
- HiSET (formerly GED)Test Preparation and Instruction (High School Equivalency - HSE): This free service provides instruction in Language Arts (Reading), Language Arts (Writing), Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.
- English Language Learners (ELL): This free service provides instruction for English Language Learners and offers individual and small group instruction. Call for more information about our next scheduled ELL orientation at (636) 481-3437.
- Adult Literacy Program: This free service assists adults with fundamental reading skills and matches students with their own personal tutor for individualized instruction. For more information, contact our Literacy Coordinator at (636) 481-3437.
Important information regarding AEL for students 21 years of age and under:
All students who are 21 years of age or under at the time of enrollment in Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s Adult Education and Literacy program, are required to provide an official drop out letter from the student’s home high school or a letter giving parental permission to enroll in Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s AEL program if they were home schooled. This letter must be turned in at Orientation.
